Hello again, everyone!
Wow, 2 updates so far this week. I’m n a roll. :D
I just wanted to explain what I meant in my last journal when I mentioned I wanted a theme.
What I meant was that I wanted to do something where I draw and submit one pic a day for a whole month. The month would have an overall theme. Something like Bronze/Iron Artist or whatever, you know?
Anywho, I figured out what I’m going to do: Music. This year is gonna be all about music.
Here’s how the process works:
At the end of each month (on the Sunday before the first day of the next month), I’m going to post a specific genre of music. You guys leave comments on the journal with the song you want me to use and I will choose 5. I will draw and post something to each of those songs every day, Monday thru Friday.
Saturdays, I’ll post a comic or some other personal work. Sundays, I’ll choose one of the sketches I did throughout the week, turn it into a line art and color it.
What’s the theme for this month? Well, since it’s already the second week of January, I’ll let you guys just put down any song from any genre. Only genres I will NOT accept are: Country, Gospel or Rap. Otherwise, go nuts! If you guys have a specific idea you wanna see in the pic (that relates to the song you requested in some way), then go ahead and add that as well.
I’m doing this to help improve my Art. I figure that, if I give myself a deadline or something, I’ll get things done and I’ll finally get somewhere with my Art.
Another thing I’d like to clear up is the fact that I… I don’t know how long good pieces of Art are supposed to take. I’m used to my sketches taking anywhere from 10-20 minutes, traditionally. Digitally, a sketch takes 30 minutes. Then, for me to clean up that sketch and color it would be another hour and a half.
I’m guessing it takes much longer to create something as good as [any of the pieces you find in my Favorites]. If so, I might need to learn a bit of patience as well. I want to be as good as the Artists I admire and that give me inspiration.
Anywho.. I'll be posting another journal for Song Doodle Requests on Sunday, so keep an eye out! Otherwise, that's all for now. Until next time, l8r!

New Year's Resolutions (for 2013)
Hey everyone..
Now, I haven't done the whole "New Year's Resolution(s)" thing since I was in Elementary School. Why? 'Cause I think it's pointless. That and the fact that I never really had anything. Also because I haven't ever set a goal for myself in all those years.
Well, after everything that happened in 2012, things are different. I now have a goal and there are a couple of things I need to do in order to reach that goal.
What is that goal? It's to become a Cartoonist/Comic Artist. I want to be known for what I do. I want my stuff out there. It's no longer enough for me just to doodle while my friends look over my shoulder or to post them on sites like this. I want to become like all the Artists out there that I admire and that give me inspiration.
So, what are my New Year's Resolutions? Well, let me tell you:
My first New Year's Resolution is to go to the gym daily. This is required with my current job. I need to keep fit. Plus, I now have some roundness in my belly that I believe is quite noticeable and it makes me feel fat. :S I have never liked the way I looked. But I realize I'm not going to feel any better about myself if I sit around, do nothing and continue to let myself go. It's time to work off all the weight I gained over the Holiday (thanks to you, Iggy). I haven't exactly set a goal as to where I want to be by the end of the year.. But I hope to at least get my flat 4-pack stomach back.
My second New Year's Resolution is to draw. I realize that my Art is going nowhere. This is because I'm not drawing like I used to. I just keep putting things off. I'm never going to make it as a Cartoonist that way. Another thing is that I have to branch out as well. I need to experiment with my Art. I want to learn how to ink and color [properly]. I want to learn how to use different programs, how to use layers and how to use the different brushes available to my advantage. I want to be much better than I am right now. I want to be proud of my work. Which I currently am not.
For my first New Year's Resolution, I have my best friends (IRL) Iggy and Makai to help me. I've already asked them to make sure that I stick to it this year. I know I can count on them.
As for my second… I'm gonna need your help. Your encouragement, help and support is well appreciated as always. But this year, I'm gonna need some pushing. I've already got Dalon and Zoa helping me out with ideas and such-.. I'm starting to lose my concentration here.
I was supposed to have started a "Sketch a Day" kind of thing starting this month, but I haven't started. I guess I need an idea. A theme. Last year, I had a bunch of monthly themes. But I was too depressed to draw. I'm much better now and I feel I can take on the task. But… maybe something light..? Go easy on me! It's been a while. ><;
So… what do you say? Can you guys help me out this year? Let me know what you think.
Oh… and once again: Happy New Year.

Recovering..
Hello everyone!
It’s Kattryna. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted (again). I’m really sorry about that. I’ve been going through quite a bit in the last 4-5months. A lot of bs has happened to me and I’d rather not go into much detail.
Long story short: I’ve finally begun to get the help I should’ve 4 years ago. I’m starting to think much clearer and I’m slowly putting myself back together. I’ve figured out what I ultimately want to do with my life now.
As far as Art goes, I nearly quit a couple of months ago. I hadn’t put pen to paper in almost a year due to major depression. Ideas have just come and gone all year. I didn’t even bother writing them down ‘cause nothing really stuck.
I’ve only just started doodling again. If I manage to draw something I think is worth posting, I will. Otherwise, you can check out my doodles on my FaceBook, InstaGram and Tumblr pages.
Also.. If I owe you any Art, I’m sorry but I cannot get it done. I’m starting a clean slate starting December 1st. I also won’t be accepting any requests or doing any Art Trade with anyone until I’ve finally finished my own personal projects.
I’m going to do my best to update more often as well. I cannot make any promises. For those of you still following me and my pages, I appreciate your patience and support. As usual, it’s greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Until next time, l8r all.

Still Alive..
'Sup, everyone..?
I'm not dead. I apologize for not having updated at all in the past few months. A lot has been happening on my end. A lot of personal, serious things that I'd rather not go into detail about.
In the past few months, I have not had any motivation to draw at all. I barely put pen to paper anymore unless it's for work. The last few doodles I managed to do, I've posted on either my FaceBook page or my Instagram. If you want to check them out, the links are in my Profile Info.
If have been off of work the past couple of weeks. I just returned from a week in the States in an attempt to obtain my Stateside Driver's License. Unfortunately, I failed my Road Test and had a miserable time. Since my return this past Monday, I've just staying with my boyfriend and enjoying my time with him.
Life has been pretty rough for me the past few months. The upcoming month (September) isn't going to be any better for me. To take my mind off of things, I've gotten back into reading books among other things. It's really helped me quite a bit. Hopefully, I can't get back into drawing again. I've been teetering on the edge of giving it up altogether. Ideas just come and go and never make it to paper.
Otherwise, thank you all for your continued support and patience with me. Thank you new Watchers for watching me. I truly appreciate it. Please don't be disappointed if I don't post anything for a while. In fact, I may not get back into it fully until the beginning of October. We'll see what happens..
Until then, l8r all.

Questions
Hey everybody..
I apologize for not having updated in a while… again. In fact, THIS update was supposed to be posted weeks ago. I just haven't had the time to just sit down and type anymore. I do when I'm at work, but I keep forgetting what the topics were. Ah well. Better late than never, right?
Anywho, I have a few questions for you guys. I'd love your help with these things, so here I go:
1. I'm trying to get back into drawing comics again. I was wondering what the best program out there is for doing this. I've been asking around for the opinions of my favorite Artists and most of them went with Manga Studio, Paint Tool SAI and PhotoShop. A few of them even said they're still Traditional.
My question is: What do you guys think is the best program out there when it comes to drawing comics? What do you recommend I use? Do you think i should do Traditional comics as well as Digital?
Panelling is a big deal for me. So, if you guys have any tips, that'd be a great help.
2. My old PC laptop is just about done for. It's over 4 years old and its basically useless. I've done everything I could to save it: Fix the fan; Clean it; Free a ton of disk space.. It's time is up. Anywho, I've been trying to use my MacBook Pro to draw digitally and that's not working out so well either. For some reason, my pics have been coming out really light (despite how much pressure I use). And, due to the fact that I'm saving up for a trip to the States in August, I won't be able to buy a new laptop for a really long time. So I will have to revert back to using good ol' pen and paper.
My question is: To those of you I owe Art to… would you mind just getting sketches from me? I got myself a set of Faber Castel markers not too long ago and I wouldn't mind coloring them as well. So how about it? Let me know, please.
3. My 3rd question kinda stems from my 1st one. Since my Mac is the only good laptop I have for the time being, I've been using that and drawing with SketchBook Pro. But (as I said before) my pictures have been coming out light. I'm not sure if this is because of the settings I have for my tablet or what, but until I can figure it out: What program do you guys prefer I use? That I can install on my MacBook Pro and is NOT a vector program..
Your input/opinions/suggestions are highly appreciated.
I'd also like to thank everyone for your patience and support. I know it's been a while since I've posted. I truly apologize for that. A lot has been going on the past few weeks, but things are finally starting to wind down… kinda.
Been looking for apartments lately 'cause I'm gonna be moving out of the Dorms soon, so that's gonna keep me offline for a while.
Otherwise, that's all I got for now. Thanks again! Until next time. L8r.
